Abstract
This study aims to determine the inhibiting and supporting factors for the development of the Nambo Beach tourism destination. The data sources in this study are derived from primary and secondary data, while the data collection techniques are carried out through interviews and observations. Data analysis is qualitative, where the research problems are analyzed using the theory of inhibiting and supporting tourism development. The results of this study indicate that the inhibiting factors for the development of the Nambo Beach tourism destination are pollution from sand mining activities, household waste, the existence of unmaintained facilities and infrastructure, a place for disposing of the ashes of Balinese ethnic groups and minimal human resources for tourism. Supporting factors for the development of the Nambo Beach tourism destination include its proximity to the center of Kendari City, financial support from the government, relatively complete facilities and infrastructure and a center for arts and cultural performances.
